Escrow Officer - Southlake, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a liaison between all parties within the title and settlement process (home buyer, builder, lender, agents, HOA, etc.). Handle all aspects of settlement transactions. Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proration, and percentages. Have an understanding of the title documents (commitments and policies), loan documents, and contracts/purchase agreements. Schedule closings, stay on task with due dates and in constant communication with the appropriate parties.

Complete closing transactions by assembling documents, reviewing documents with parties, explaining provisions and procedures, answering questions, checking documents for completeness and accuracy, and obtaining signatures. Facilitate transaction funding. Review escrow accounting reports and resolve any outstanding check or open file balance issues.

Comply with regulatory requirements by enforcing adherence to the applicable requirements. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks (book of business), and participating in professional organizations. Proactive, problem solver, team player, high attention to detail and high-level customer service skills.

REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Notary Public required. Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Title & Escrow Insurance experience. Active Texas Escrow Officer License preferred. RamQuest experience a plus, but not required.

Receptionist - Austin, TX (North)

Receptionist

Reports to:  Austin Operations Manager, Northwest Office

Required:
Related Customer Service Experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to pass satisfactory background and criminal check

Qualifications:
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
Detail Oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effective communicator- written and verbal

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Front Desk Reception:
Answer all incoming calls and transfer to appropriate staff member, or voice mail as required.

Attempt to help customers with questions and/or requests from customers as training is provided.  When appropriate, take messages and follow up on requests from customers

Greet all incoming guests and clients escort to conference rooms.

Maintain front area for neat and tidy appearance.  This includes front desk, lobby, coffee bar, media room and all conference rooms.  Replenish supplies in these areas as needed.

General Office Duties:  Monitor supply  inventory, taking care of incoming and outgoing mail to include Fed Ex Shipments daily,  assist with maintaining functionality of office equipment.  Familiarize yourself with our vendors, and place service calls to those vendors as needed.

Assist sales team as needed for class preparation as needed or requested.

Additional duties assigned by Operations Manager or Branch Manager.

Escrow/Administrative Functions
Assist the escrow team with tasks associated with the file processing.  Tasks will be assigned as needed, until fully trained.   Examples of escrow associated tasks are as follows:

Receipting Contracts, Facilitating Deliveries through Courier Service, Pre-Close Functions, Order Home Warranty Plans On-line, Order Resale Documents from HOA Online, Post- Close Functions such as mailing, copying, organizing items for electronic file storage.

Training
On the job training will be provided by Branch Manager for the respective duties.  Some self-study will be assigned and required as deemed appropriate.  Written materials as well as electronic resources will be provided for training as needed.  You will be asked to participate in continuing education events that are relevant to the training at the discretion of management.   Local travel may be required for training with other staff members as deemed appropriate.

You are expected to have the ability to work well with other team members, offer assistance and support to your co-workers with a positive outlook and pleasant manner.   You should have the desire to learn and assist with all aspects of title insurance and closing of real estate transactions.  Self -motivation and the ability to look for ways to increase productivity and value by offering suggestions to management for overall ways to improve company process and procedures is ideal.
